Baby showers, amazing breakfast, long hot car rides, pleasant cool evening walks. That is what today was made of. Not to mention nice cuddly "cool off's" in the bedroom. We have an a/c unit in the bedroom window and on these hot August days it seems to be the only room in our house that will actually save us from the inferno. It probably didn't help that we cooked both our meals today, but boy were they delicious! Bacon, eggs, sourdough boule, fruit salad and perfectly cooked potatoes. Pork chops, applesauce, mashed potatoes and corn. Maybe not the healthiest either. But at least I didn't eat cake at the baby shower.
